Helen Murray is a qualified Level 3 Forest School Practitioner and Level 3 Childcare Practitioner, with over a decade of teaching experience. She will be running Forest School sessions for Eco Tots and Home Education Groups which will be run following the 6 principles of the Forest School ethos.
Forest School recognises the importance of children’s contact with nature, and supports the concept that children should be allowed to play, explore, learn and develop outside, not just within the confines of a traditional classroom.
Helen has had the pleasure of seeing firsthand how giving children opportunities in nature can promote their self esteem, confidence and creativity. At Forest School children can develop an increased knowledge and understanding of the natural world and experience opportunities to develop their gross and fine motor skills, all while having enormous amounts of fun!
