Join us as we explore Bushy Park, one of London’s Royal Parks and discover more about the nature and wildlife that lives here.

Join us on a guided walk in summer and find out about the role trees play in our landscape. As we walk we will learn more about the trees that tell the story of this area and find out about the local natural history. Trees are cherished for their role in providing habitats for wildlife and the beautiful trees are spectacular and home to many other insects and animals. Learn some simple ID skills to help you identify our most popular trees.

Tutor: Rachel Cassidy

Rachel Cassidy is a Professional Gardener, Plantsmith, Field Botanist, Consultant Forensic Horticulturalist, gardening Journalist, and Author, having published over two dozen Botany and Gardening books, including introductions to identifying Conifers and Broadleaved Trees. In addition, she writes regularly about gardening on her website, http://rachel-the-gardener.blogspot.co.uk/

With a style that has been variously described as “chatty and informal” and “appropriately bossy”, Rachel makes it her mission to demystify botany for beginners and improvers, aiming to simplify without dumbing down.

Trees have been her passion for many years, and she loves to pass on her knowledge and enthusiasm for these gentle giants of the landscape!
