Throughout the course, you’ll head outdoors with our experienced tutors to:
- Search for evidence of small mammals and learn how to identify signs of their presence.
- Dip nets into the pond to reveal the fascinating community of freshwater invertebrates that thrive beneath the surface.
- Explore the woodland ecosystem, getting to know the plants, fungi and animals that interact to create a rich and resilient environment.
- Understand how local habitats function and the vital role each species plays in maintaining a healthy ecosystem.
- Find out what you can do at home, from wildlife‑friendly gardening to simple conservation actions to support nature in your area.
Whether you are new to wildlife identification or simply want to deepen your connection with the natural world, this course offers an enjoyable and informative way to appreciate the species living under your nose.
