Our first virtual fundraiser re-boot and raise has come to a close. With 38 people having walked, run, cycled and swum their way to a total of 3,234 miles and raising an enormous £5,570 towards our Grants for Schools programme.

- This means that we can offer 30 young people a bursary to attend our Field Centres and participate in curriculum based outdoor learning.
- Special mention to Rivervale for raising a whopping £2,500 and covering 713 miles between them.
- Our winning team distance goes to the Trustee, traipsers, trampers and trotters, completing 805 miles, amazing work!
Thank you to all of your who participated and donated, we really do appreciate the support.

FAQs
How much mileage do I need to do?
You can record your miles using a smart watch, phone or manually logging your activities. 51 miles during 31 days of March works out to just over 1.6 miles a day
I want to join, but I am not part of a team
Not a problem, contact Gemma or David [email protected] and we will connect you to a team
Will people donate to a charity that I work for?
Yes, of course, people will support the Field Studies Council. The money raised is ring fenced to go towards the Grants for Schools Programme. This will directly benefit the young people that need our support the most and allow us to increase our reach to more areas of deprivation.
How will this work?
We will ask you to sign up via enthuse platform and pay a registration fee of £5.99, this will just cover the costs involved of setting up the event. It will then walk you through the process of setting up a fundraising page. It will have prompts and sample text there for you and Gemma and David are on hand for any support. Then share to your friends and family via social media and word of mouth; regular updates on progress are always useful, especially alongside photos of you, dogs, children all out with you in all weathers completing the challenge.
Can this be allocated to a specific centre?
Yes, as long as everyone on your team agrees, all the money your team raises can go to support schools attending a nominated centre.
What is in it for me?
Well apart from knowing you are making a real difference to young people’s access to the outdoors there will be some fun competitions along the way and a certificate of competition at the end.
