Join us for a bat walk around Epping Forest to learn more about these fascinating mammals.

Bats are most active in the summer months. Join us on a bat walk and use detectors to hear the high-frequency clicks of bats using echo location as they fly.

This walk takes place at dusk, when we are most likely to see and hear bats. Bats are not the only creatures out at night, look out ad listen for other creatures such as moths, owls and perhaps a fox. NB bats like the weather to be warm and dry. This walk will focus on other nocturnal creatures if the weather isn’t ideal for bats.
